Firefighters got their sponges and hoses out for the day to wash down some cars at the weekend.
About 20 firefighters were busy raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity and the Gurkhas National Trust at Fareham fire station.

The charity car wash event saw members of the public drive into the fire station and give a donation in return for their cars being hosed down.

The firefighters were kept busy with more than 100 people turning out to get the cars washed on the day.

Firefighter Mark Hilton said: 'We have all come in on our day off to do this, it's been really good and there has been lots of water fights with the public and we have being showing the kids around.'
