A SERIES of walks are to take place to help people lead healthier lifestyles.
The free walks across Fareham have been organised by the borough council and will be run by a network of volunteers.

Councillor Connie Hockley, in charge of community matters, said: 'It's an excellent way for the public to see some of the fantasti
c locations across our borough and walking helps to increase your overall fitness and wellbeing, as well as being a great way to meet other people taking part in the walks too.'

Three walks will take place next week. The first will be on Tuesday, September 9, in the Fareham and Titchfield area. It will start in Highlands Road, move on to the Fisherman's Rest and finish at Titchfield Abbey.

Walkers should meet in the public car park adjacent to the Working Men's Club in Highlands Road at 10.30am.

The second walk will take on Wednesday, September 10, in Portchester around the historic castle grounds – meet at the entrance to Portchester Castle at 10.3am.

The third walk will take place on Thursday, September 11, around the north of the borough. The meeting place is in front of the Miners' Arms pub in Funtley Road, Funtley, at 11am.
