I recently went to Tiger for lunch and had the most deliscious Duck Flatbread. The Restaurant was great with a wraparound balcony which had an amazing view!

The staff were all very friendly and our food came out within only 10 minutes.

I have had a couple of night outs here and it’s got a great atmosphere, although can be rather busy. Although drinks can seem more than in other places, I think that’s because you are paying for the quality and service rather than a cheap VK in a chavvy club.

Would 100% recommend!

I found this venue an awful experience. It does not match the Tiger Tiger venues that i’ve visited in other cities. The staff have no manners and lack many basic human skills.

I had a particular bad experience where i was assualuted at the club by another partygoer, yet the staff chose to quickly usher me away from the scene into the toliets. No member of staff had any First Aid skills, leaving it to my wife to sort out my injuries. During this period, the staff did not even try to approach the culprit who merely ‘ran away’ from the venue after my friend sought to call the police.

Incidentally, there was conveniently no CCTV footage of the incident despite being in a prominent part of the bar.

I agree that Tiger Tiger can’t control the mishaps of society. However they need to show more empathy and have processes in place to sort out such situations. Simply deflecting an unfortunate incident for the sake of publicity is not a good long-term approach for business.

Truly a horrific experience!

I went to 'Tiger Tiger' for my sister and brothers birthday, i travelled down from London and there was a mixed group of 16 ladies and men either from London or Southampton. We were really looking forward to it...but unfortunatly had the worst night of our lives!!! We booked to be on guestlist to arrive by 10pm, we were at the door at 9.30pm. As soon as we arrived the so called manager refused entry to 1 of our group because he had on Prada shoes, apparantley they were too casual, even though they prob cost more than the managers whole outfit! So he decided not to ruin our night and went home. Then they tried to charge us £7, because they left us standing outside til after 10pm, when it was meant to be a queue jump with free entry g.list! The club was totally confusing to get around, it was so over crowded that we were like sardines in a tin, which im sure was not good for health and safety, if there was a fire or something it would be a nightmare to get out of! My niece was spiked by someone and ended up collaspsing in the toilet, needing to be taken out by 4 security, who admittingly did do their best to look after her. Then my sister whose 25th bithday it was, went out at around 12am for a cigarette and was refused entry back into the club, even though she had a stamp on her hand! They wouldn't even let her back in to find one of our group. She never had a phone on her so couldn't call one of us, which she explained to the manager, but was still refused re-entry. Because the club was so big we had all gone off into different rooms so no-one had noticed her gone for at least an hour. She was left stranded with no coat or phone in a strange place. She was then refused a taxi as they were not willing to travel to Southampton and we had hired a minibus which was not picking us up till 2pm. Eventually after lots of crying and begging she managed to get a taxi which then cost her £40!! When we got a call at 1.15am saying she was at home, we went to complain to the manager for not letting her back in and he assured us that she was safely escorted and put in a taxi by one of his doormen...which was a total lie and he then said she was refused back in because she was too drunk...again a lie as she had only drank 2 drinks all evening, due to the bar service being so slow!! He was very unco-operating, rude and arrogant and beacause of his stupidity my sister could have ended up in a worst situation than she did!! I will never ever go there again, and i would advise any lady to be very aware that she could end up either spiked, or stranded by herself or even worse if she chose to spend a night in 'Tiger Tiger' in Portsmouth!!!!

Oh i love tiger. One of the best student nights in Potsmouth, this being a monday and a thursday. Cheap drinks, good music and loads of people, what more could you want? I have to admit the layout was a bit confusing the first couple of times i went but it’s easy enough once you get the hang of it. There’s a bar on the first floor and a large-ish seating area and a hotdog/ hamburger stand! Upstairs on the right there is a big floor and bar, not really a dance floor but if the mood takes you…! Then turning left there is a small bar with seating, leading then into Groovy Wonderland playing a good selection of cheesy music. Off this room then is the club playing more up-to-date music and a VIP room (you can apply through facebook to get VIP).

This place is really full of students on a monday and thursday night which is great if you are one, if not, i would steer clear. The queues are more often than not huge at all the bars and it’s quite crowded in general but, it’s a club, so it’s to be expected and personally i love clubbing when it’s like that, much better atmosphere.

Not usually my cup of tea, but I went there on my sister’s hen party and still had a lovely time. We had one of the VIP areas and it was a bit like the bat cave. The music is fairly varied, and I guess different depending on when you go. There are a couple of dance floors which is nice because it means everyone’s not crammed into one room. We had a couple of platters of food and jugs of cocktails too, which were very nice. If you like more mainstream and pop-y music, this is probably your place.

I visited Porsmouth and had one of my best nights in Tiger Tiger. There are many rooms, each being an individual bar, identifying itself with a theme different to that of the others. This is great as there is something that appeals to everybody and so a great place if you are out with a variety of people.
I did however find it an expensive place but as it was not a regular occurance then I enjoyed it as a treat and experiencing a place and atmosphere that was just a little above the others.

I dont like how many steps there are in night clubs, the music is good but the drink prices are very high and very croweded

I love Tiger tiger. It’s laid out on two floors. Downstairs a chilled out quiet bar area and upstairs more hectic rooms for bars and a good dance floor. There’s also a restaurant which I particularly like. There’s a balcony which is nice to eat out on in the summer. It gets really busy and adds to a fun lively atmosphere. The drinks are expensive but are inline with all the other bars in Gunwharf quays. There is a good choice though. Christmas dos are fun in here!
