Does exactly what it says on the tin. Pizza. Quickly. It’s really nice in there, especially if you are taking a leisurely afternoon wandering around gunwharf and decide to have a pizza (or salad) with a few beers looking out over the harbor. The pizzas were a bit on the large side for me, but a bit small for the other half. Between us though, we yummed it up. A bit classier than your standard pizza delivery joint.

This pizza restaurant is set in a good location on Gunwharfs water front, and another point that gets it an extra thumbs up is that the Pizza Express chain participate in the Tesco clubcard rewards scheme so by trading in your club card points you get 4x the value to spend on your food! The prices here are reasonable, but if you are used to eating at other “takeaway” pizza restaurants you may find them a bit more expensive and the pizzas are a different style too. That said you can’t go far wrong with the pizzas here and there are plenty of options for all tastes. I’ve found service good to average, but never disappointing, drinks are nothing special and I haven’t tried their deserts so can’t comment.

Pizza Express must never be confused with Pizza Hut! It is a quality Pizza place with Salads and Pasta as well. It is well priced for what it is and is very nice food that the whole family really will enjoy. So when you want fast food and Mum and Dad complain take them here because it is nice and they will like it too. Staff are polite and decor is cool!

Went for the 2-4-1 offer and I think that might have counted against our quality - we were cheapskates, but we did leave a tip (service was fast - but pizzas…). We got a cheap margerita bog standard and ironically this was much nicer than the franchise specific 'terry forno’ specials, which basically was a nice base with tomato paste and pama ham, olives, rocket and mozzerella balls balanced on top. Literally balanced, they fell off if you tried to do anything with the pizza (like eat it). The cheaper one was better, but if you cant do your specials well what are you even doin them for?

Great restaurant, great staff, great food.

Staff have the ability to take down orders properly, something im finding rare when ordering pizza these days! Polite and attentive, but not overbearingly…I’d recommened this place to anyone.

Service is considerably fast for the amount of people usually in, and all food and drinks are well priced.
