Tony Adams was happy to have a home tie after Pompey landed Bristol City in the FA Cup.
The Blues will begin their quest to defend the Cup against the Robins in January.

Adams' men will take on the Championship side in the third round at Fratton Park.

Gary Johnson's men are sat in mid-table in their league after making the play-off final last season, before losing to Hull.

Adams was expecting an entertaining clash when the tie comes around at the start of next month.

He said: 'It's great to have a home tie. It should be a decent game.'

Adams also hailed his first home win as Pompey boss insisted the pressure wasn't getting to him.

The Blues boss was celebrating last night as Pompey picked up a 3-2 win over Blackburn at Fratton Park.

That meant the new Blues boss grabbed his first win on home soil at the fifth attempt.

The wait almost went on, though, as his team let a two goal second-half lead slip before Sean Davis grabbed the winner 11 minutes from time.

Adams insisted the run without a home maximum wasn't getting to him.

He said: 'It's been a tough phase.

'I'm not relieved about getting the win, though.

'Hopefully I will be here for a long time.

'If you are at a club a long time you get to experience everything.

'My opening few games here have been entertaining. I know I'm alive, that's for sure.'
