Harry Redknapp has dismissed suggestions of a permanent deal for Armand Traore.
And he believed the credit crunch will hinder a full-time move for Nadir Belhadj.

Pompey's left-sided fliers have quickly become firm favourites following a sizzling start to their Fratton Park careers.

The duo have become key components of a side who have reached the UEFA Cup group stages and seventh place in the Premier League.

Traore is on loan until the end of the campaign from Arsenal as Arsene Wenger looks to get his exciting 19-year-old prospect regular football.

Belhadj is on the south coast for a similar duration, arriving with a view to a permanent deal from Lens.

But while both have been swift to impress, Redknapp has admitted hopes of them having a Pompey future are uncertain.

He said: 'There is no chance of Traore staying here, absolutely no chance.

'Arsenal would not sell him. Arsene Wenger let him come here to get experience and it's been great for him. He's only just turned 19. They're not looking to sell him. That's not even in our thoughts.

'Belhadj has also done really well. He's been terrific for us and has a great attitude.

'I'd like to keep him but at the moment money is tight everywhere, we all know that. That's how things are.

'I don't think we will sign too many in January. I can't see us signing an awful lot of people.

'Everywhere in the world is tight for money, not just us.

'Manchester City will be splashing it around, but I can't see any others doing the same.

'We'll have to see.'

Belhadj has got to improved defensively if he is going to be a force in the prem. Going forward he is amazing but defensively his positioning needs improving but i think Tony Adams will help his development. Certainly think he will be worth getting.
Traore again would be a great singing - and hopefully we can get him on loan next season as he will be hard to dislodge Clichy

Iwouldn't be too sure on the Traore side of things. He's been given regular starts wearing the blue strip. I would expect Wenger would only let him stew in the reserves once he gets back to arsenal.

If this were to become true, it shows how greedy Wenger is on keeping his players. The fact that Traore is enjoying his time at Pompey will be another factor.

Belhadj is a must. Get him on the left, Kranky on the right, and I think it'll be a case of light the blue touch paper and stand well back. Plus, give him a couple of seasons with us to develop his skills, and I can see a lot of clubs tripping over each other with some ludicrous bids for him.

Why would Traore be a great SINGING ? I'd rather SIGN him, not SING him. Are you dyslexic, Chard ?
Where/when did True Blue go to school ?

We Can Do It

Today's Vote

Is Tony Adams right to make changes to the Pompey side who beat Blackburn?
Adams should stick to the side that earned him his first win at Fratton Park
He should only change things around if there are injuries
If Campbell and Kranjcar are fit they should start
Davis deserves a starting role after his heroics against Blackburn
With a heavy fixture schedule coming up, changes are needed
