Harry: West Ham's not for me

Harry Redknapp has ruled out a return to West Ham.

After Alan Curbishley's resignation, Redknapp has been made one of the bookies' favourites to be the next West Ham boss.

But despite playing for the Hammers and managing the club in the past, east Londoner Redknapp insisted he has no intention of an Upton Park return.

He said: 'There's no way I'll replace him (Curbishley).

'West Ham is a special club and it has a special place in my heart.

'But I love it at Portsmouth and I have one advantage over a lot of Premier League bosses these days - I've got an owner who lets the manager manage.

'I won't be going back to Upton Park as manager - I'm much too happy where I am.'

The owner may "let the manager manage", but does he really let him have a say as to who is bought and sold ?

I logged on to The News hoping but not expecting to see a statement from Harry, it's great that he's declared himself unavailable lets hope it filters through to the muppets on Talksport and Sky who will make up any old story to fill a few minutes airtime.

Nice one Harry.......Its good to see stability in a manager during crazy times of stupid money buys and over management from board members.
Im glad to hear Harry is in charge of management and even happier to hear he is happy and will be staying.
