Pompey's deal to sign Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic could be revived, according to reports.
Hajduk Split have indicated there is still dialogue going on between them and Pompey.
The move for the 21-year-old seems to rest on a dispute between a number of agents involved in the move being resolved.
Pompey are willing to pay £6.1m for the Croatia international over 18 months. Porto, Sporting Lisbon and Blackburn are all said to be keen.
