POMPEY have a clean bill of health ahead of the FA Cup final after Sol Campbell was given the Wembley thumbs up.
The Blues skipper missed the Premier League finale against Fulham with a tight hamstring.

But he returned to training yesterday with no reaction and will be fit to resume his defensive duties against Cardiff.

The outlook for David Nugent also looks brighter.

The former England striker suffered a slight groin strain while warming-up for the reserves last week.

However, Nugent was today set to take part in some aspects of training.

He is expected to return to full training by the end of the week and declare himself fit for FA Cup final selection.

Elsewhere, David James will play against Cardiff having now fully recovered from the calf injury which kept him out for three matches.

The England keeper is back in training and been given the Wembley go-ahead.

Kanu picked up a dead leg on Sunday but medical staff are not overly concerned and he will be fine to lead Pompey's attack.

Meanwhile, Noe Pamarot and John Utaka suffered no reaction following their return from injuries against Roy Hodgson's side.

It means, aside from Linvoy Primus and the cup-tied Jermain Defoe, Pompey will be at full strength for the FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, Cardiff boss Dave Jones will let Robbie Fowler decide if he is fit enough for the final.

The former Liverpool striker has not played since December after a hip operation.

There's two teams in this final and Cardiff have a realistic chance of winning this trophy. I think any other way of looking at it is disrespectful to Cardiff to be honest.

We're not going to just turn up and roll them over 3-0. That's arrogant thinking and the sort of stuff which will condemn us to a defeat.

I think we'll have a massive fight with them and will win 1-0 and that'll be a GOOD result.

your right dazza it will be tough but we should stroll to a 4-0 win even with the lazy wasters we have in our team.

I think that we should be positive about winning the game but we have to remember that Cardiff are gonna be just as up for this game as anybody. It's been even longer for them than for us since last winning the cup!! We should believe in a victory but not expecting to win 3 or 4 nil. If we can get an early goal and settle down we could end up winning by that margin but Cardiff will fight, hustle and make things very uncomfortable for us. Pompey to win 2-0....but very close game!

How do'es a professional footballer get a groin strain whilst "warming up"? I thought the whole idea of "warming up" is that you DON'T get a strain of any sort!!
