Pompey are offering non-season ticket holders and non-members the chance to bag priority tickets for the grudge clash with Spurs.
Non-season ticket holders and non-members who buy tickets for the games with Bolton or Everton will be given a window to nab tickets for Harry Redknapp's return on October 17 – before they go on general sale.

Fans who buy tickets for these games will have the opportunity to grab seats for the Spurs clash from September 17.

Those who have already bought tickets for the Bolton and Everton (September 26) games are eligible for the offer.

Seats go on sale to members on September 14 and season-ticket holders on September 16.

They then go on sale to those in the priority window before going on general sale on September 21.

The move has been welcomed by Pompey supporter groups, who believe it rewards fans' loyalty. Tickets are on sale on 0844 847 1898 (option one), via portsmouth.co.uk/etickets or at the club's ticket office in Rodney Road.

All these ticket reductions are great but does this mean that the reductions will also be passed on to the season ticket holders. If you calculate the price per game it has come to my notice that some of us will be out of pocket as average game cost is between £30 and £38 depending if you bought early bird or not? Can any one who works for the club shed light on this or do I need to wrte to the ticket office management / commercial dept? Any thoughts

If you bought early bird same as me at £575 that equates to £30 a game then taking into account 8 games at £20 we will be out of pocket to the tune of £80.
Now I know the "doc" is a bit hard up till his 100 million bonus turns up but this is ridiculous.
Barbie could be buying another pair of shoes for that.

I've got season tickets pour moi and the wife, so well out of pocket. However, I just hope the scheme works and we can fill the stadium, especially against spuds when I hope we will see an AC Milan atmosphere, which will show the Redcrap Renegades what they have left behind, and lift our team to thrash them.

spooks, members get first offer of tickets for cup games, not STH. maybe we will be slightly out of pocket, but we do get to sit in the same seats all season, makes it all worthwhile xxx

one other thing whilst i`m here, why is the spuds game a priority? aren`t they all? i know twitchy deserves us to beat them, but i reckon we need to do that to every other as well

I know we're (hopefully) only just starting to come out of a recession but what happened to all those diehard lifelong Pompey fans who were clamouring for tickets for Wembley just eighteen months ago? Personally I hope my £600 was used to keep the club afloat and didn't disappear with Gaydamak.

Kenwright, I take it you're the sort of person who buys a tv in tesco for 750 quid then a few months later, when you find out they've dropped the price to 700 quid, goes back and demands a 50 quid refund!

I would just like to add my observations on the ticket price situation. I have a ST in the Fratton End and paid £575 for that I am guaranteed the same seat (with good view) for all 19 leagues games, plus first dibs at all other seats.

Under the prices if I want to attend all 19 leagues it would cost me 11 games at £34 and 8 games at £20, a total of £534.

However I would also have to sit in the Milton End (not the best), have to to through the book office for each game (at the cost of phone calls, booking fees etc), and also would not actually be guaranteed a seat especially for the bigger games.

So anyone who is saying that they feel ripped off needs to think of the additional benefits of having a STH.

Also agree with post 8.
