A MAN had his ribs broken and suffered head injuries when his passport and cash were stolen in a robbery.
The 26-year-old was attacked between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, September 14, as he walked along Brockhurst Road, Gosport, close to the junction with Cambridge Road.

After a night out in Gosport, he was approached by an unknown man who beat him up and stole £40 cash and a passport.

The victim was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, where he was treated for broken ribs and a bruised head and stomach.

Police are trying to track down the attacker who was white, in his late 20s, about 6ft and stocky.

He has dark hair and wore a light coloured top and jeans.

Detective Constable Martin Brown, from Gosport CID, said: 'I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone visiting the nearby Orhans kebab shop.

'The attack took place beside a main road and I am sure that this incident would have been witnessed by passers by and drivers.'

Anyone with information can contact Det Con Brown in Gosport CID on 0845 045 45 45.
