Enthusiasts are gearing up for a day of pedal power to raise money for a good cause.
The British Heart Foundation's Round the Harbours family bike ride takes place on June 8 when cyclists will take part in a 32-mile challenge.

The start point in Gosport is at Stokes Bay car park and the event will be flagged off by soon-to-be mayor of Gosport Councillor Derek Kimber at 9am.

Southsea and Havant riders will also start at 9am, while riders from Fareham will start at 9.30am.

Those taking part will go through a number of checkpoints and two ferry crossings during the ride.

Last year over 1,000 riders took part, raising over £37,000 in sponsorship for the British Heart Foundation.

This year's ride has been supported by the Gosport and Fareham Sport & Physical Activity Alliance through the Big Lottery Wellbeing Fund.

People can register for the ride in advance or on the day, with prices ranging from £5 to £15.

To register or for more information, call 0808 100 2109.
