Friends rally round family of dead biker

Friends of a biker killed in an accident have raised thousands of pounds to help support his two children.
Bikers have dipped into their pockets to help Darren Mulliner's widow Susie, 30, bring up Joshua, aged two, and Ethan, one.
Darren, 38, from Gosport, died on July 19 when his Buell 1125R collided with a lorry in Norfolk as he was on his way to a rally in tribute to biker Emma Radford who died of cystic fibrosis in 2004.
Since then members of the UK Buell Enthusiasts Group have raised more than £3,000, while Dockgate 20, the Harley Davidson and Buell dealership in Southampton where Darren worked for seven-and-a-half years, have collected a further £3,000 – with more money still coming in every day.
Susie, who is now living with her parents in Blackbird Way, Lee-on-the-Solent, said: 'It's just so amazing, it means I'm not going to have to struggle with the boys, and it gives me some breathing room.
'I had no idea there would be so many people out there who would want to help us.
'It's very flattering and it shows how much Darren was loved.
'I'm shocked by the generosity of people, they have made us feel so welcome and wanted.
'The money is going into the children's accounts, so if I need something for them, I can use it for that.
'It means I won't have to scrimp and save when I need something important like shoes and clothes. It's going to help so much.'
Julie Fishwick, Darren's younger sister, who also works at Dockgate 20, said: 'People are still wanting to contribute.
'Darren did so much for other people – he would give you the shirt off his back if he could.
'So many stories have been coming out about things he did.
'It was such a tragic event, and I think people want to help give something back.'
>>> The collection is still running at Dockgate 20 and a book of condolence remains open for anyone who wants to pay their respects to Darren.
