THE conversion of a former gatehouse and police inspector's lodge in Gosport has been shortlisted for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) South East Award.
John Thompson & Partners has been shortlisted in two categories – building conservation and regeneration – for the Flag Staff Green in Royal Clarence Yard, Gosport.
As well a the gatehouse and inspector's lodge, it was also a complete restoration of Augustus Pugin's own house (1843 Grade 1) including the adjacent cartoon room as a public interpretation space.
The awards are taking place on May 22 at Oxford Castle, which was the international winner of the RICS awards 2007.
