A school's star pupil got four straight As – but couldn't celebrate fully with his friends last night.
While Nathan Fieldsend's classmates were out on the town, Nathan settled for a quiet night in.

The brainy student from Bay House School, Gosport only turned 18 today, so was underage and couldn't hit the bars and clubs.

Speaking yesterday he said: 'I'm going to have a quiet one tonight. It would have been nice if my birthday was one day earlier, but never mind.'

He will now fulfil his ambition and take a four-year engineering course at Cambridge University, with a possible career in renewable energy.

Nathan got his A grades in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry two years after featuring in The News for getting 11 A*s in his GCSEs.
