A sport and physical activity roadshow is being hosted at Fareham next weekend in a bid to make people active.
The West Street event will inform the public about the kinds of sporting activity on offer in the area.

Organisers Sport and Physical Activity Alliance for Fareham and Gosport will be promoting the benefits of all forms of physical activity.

rious sports will be demonstrated during the day by local groups including the Stubbington Runners, Gosport Borough Cricket Club, Hampshire Football Association, Hill Head Sailing Club, Fareham Wheelers Cycling Club.

Activities at the leisure centre will be promoted.

Information about activities the public can join to help get them fit and active will also be available.

Councillor Connie Hockley, who is in charge of community matters, said: 'This roadshow offers a great idea about what's on offer across the borough of Fareham and beyond for the public to get involved with and start getting active.

'There's something for everyone of all abilities and ages – from seated exercise, Walking to Health and gardening to football, judo and running.'

The roadshow will be located near the podium in West Street, Fareham, next Saturday, September 13, from 10am to 4pm.
