Summer activities for all in Gosport

WITH schools out for summer, activities are being put on for youngsters.
Gosport Borough Council is hosting a range of free playschemes and sports activities over the next month.

All activities will take place on weekdays and are free to all children from the borough.

Summer playschemes for five to 11 year olds start on Wednesday at 10am at Bridgemary Community Sports College, Grange Farm, Grange Junior School and Leesland Junior School.

A playscheme also starts at Lee Community Centre on the same day at 2pm.

A sports scheme for nine to 14 year olds will also start at St Vincent Leisure Centre on Wednesday, July 30, at 10am.

There are set to be a wide range of activities on offer including arts and crafts, parachute making, archery, judo, netball and swimming.

The schemes will receive visits from the Mayor of Gosport Councillor Derek Kimber, Gosport fire service, Hampshire Library and the council's recycling team.
