Gosport could soon have its own Hollywood Boulevard under plans being considered by the council to boost tourism.
Town bosses are examining whether or not they could recognise famous local people by having their handprints set in stone.
The attraction would echo the famous handprints outside Mann's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
But instead of movie legends and pop sensations, it would feature Gosport-born celebrities, like Olympian Roger Black.
The idea was pitched to Gosport council by Tourism South East officer Juliet Scott.
Council spokeswoman Brenda Brooker said: 'It is one of a number of schemes being looked at by the council.'
