ONE driver was arrested in a crackdown on drink-drivers at Hayling Island.
He was the only one of more than 20 motorists stopped during the operation who failed a breath test. Drug tests were also carried out in the spot checks.

But as part of the initiative three vehicles were seized because they were not insured; five drivers were given three points and fined £60 after being caught using mobile phones, and five were fined £30 for not wearing a seat belt.

PC Philip Robertson of the roads policing unit, said: 'Using officers from different parts of the force worked successfully and strengthens the message that we are committed to detecting those drivers who put others at risk by ignoring road laws.'
