After going through the pain of losing her 18-year-old son in a car crash nearly three years ago, Jan Grant has worked tirelessly to promote road safety.
Jan's son Karl Wooden was killed when his Peugeot 306 hit a lamppost in Chichester in November 2005.

Jan wanted to mark what would have been Karl's 21st birthday in June, so she organised a clay pigeon shoot, while Karl's 15-year-old sister Megan undertook a sponsored bike ride.

£2,500 was raised for Safe Drive, Stay Alive, which aims to cut the number of young people killed on the road.

Jan, 41, of Victoria Road, Emsworth, said: 'We are thrilled with the amount we managed to raise.'
