THE annual Hampshire Water Festival will be heading for Staunton Country Park.
Staff at the park have secured next summer's huge event, and around 7,000 people are expected to head for it.

Each year Hampshire's rivers and the wildlife living in them are celebrated at the event which attracts a host of experts.

BBC wildlife presenter Chris Packham is a regular speaker.

The one-day festival gives the public information about the water environment through exhibitions, talks, films, guided walks, workshops, arts, theatre and craft activities.

The aim is to encourage both adults and children to appreciate and show interest in Hampshire's water environment. More details about the event will be issued early next year.
