HEALTH officials are to further mark the 60th anniversary of the NHS with a special question-and- answer event.
Patients are invited to have their say on healthcare in Portsmouth during the '60 at 60' session.

Senior NHS officials will answer questions from the public for 60 minutes at the event during Portsmouth City Teaching Primary Care Trust's annual me
eting.

Chairman Richard Hibbert said: 'Portsmouth faces many challenging health issues with higher levels of smoking, alcohol-related problems and obesity than most areas across the south.

'But there are many initiatives under way to address these and the many other areas of interest or concern which people might want to ask us about.

'This could include our £20m planned redevelopment of the St Mary's Hospital site into a community health campus when the acute services move to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.'

Chief executive Tracy Sanders said: 'There are certain things we are required to do at our annual meeting, such as giving our financial report.

'But we want to encourage people as possible to attend and make it as engaging as possible.'

E-mail jay.vinall@ports.nhs.uk or write to him at PCT Business Services, Finchdean House, St Mary's Hospital, Milton Road, Portsmouth, PO3 6DP with questions by August 31.

The meeting is at 6.30pm at St James's Hospital, Locksway Road, Milton, on September 24.
