Get into the swing of things to raise money

Golf-lovers are being asked to put their swing to the test in aid of charity.
The Elizabeth Foundation has organised a golf day to raise money for their Raise the Roof appeal to double the size of their family centre.
The pre-school for profoundly-deaf children, based in the grounds of Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, wants people to sign up to the event.
Charity founder Shirley Metherell said: 'More and more local families are getting to know about our important services, thanks to the successful introduction of newborn hearing screening.
'Children with a hearing loss are diagnosed in the first six weeks of life at The Elizabeth Foundation, and it is here that families with deaf children, are helped and supported, and their children are encouraged to develop their listening and spoken language skills.'
The foundation wants to enlarge its existing family centre to accommodate more families.
Local golfers can join the golf day and gala dinner at the Marriott in Meon Valley on June 20. All funds raised will go towards the Raise The Roof Appeal. Visit www.elizabeth-foundation.org for more.
