On November 5 I published a picture of a corvette being towed out of the Camber, Old Portsmouth, where it had been constructed for the Nigerian Navy.

The Rev Philip Mason, of Ditcham Park, sent me a photo of the model he made of the corvette which was to be presented to a Nigerian princess. But because of political unrest she never attended and so the name plate was changed and the model given to the Nigerian navy. The model was 10in long and silver-plated.

I wonder if it is still in existence?
