No doubt many of you can remember this part of Southsea, now the site of the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Apart from the children having a jolly good time in the pool, either side is lined with deckchairs that now seem to have disappeared completely from the local scene.

Running behind the fence is the miniature railway. It must be approaching judging by the amount of people looking over the wall.

In the distant right can be seen a paddle-steamer, its tall funnel clearing any smoke from the passenger decks as it makes its way through the Solent.
