Have your say

For anyone getting married and setting up home some 50 years ago it was an expensive hobby.

None of your cheap-jack shops with shabby last-a-month furniture back than.

Nathan Furniture of 248 Commercial Road, Portsmouth, offered The Corinthian which was finished in oil ambered teak with rosewood handles.

And it was all understandable in feet and inches. A sideboard at 7ft was £50.80 while the 6ft version came in at £43-63.
