Have your say

Do you remember when Wrens were so much part of the navy in Portsmouth?

This was before women were allowed to go to sea with men and wear standard square rig uniform. With their attractive uniform with an HMS Victory cap tally around their hats, Wrens used to turn heads. Here we see a young Wren at the 1964 Navy Days at the recruitment table. No doubt the two young matelots were eyeing up the girl more than the recruitment literature! Were you the Wren on view?
