Have your say

You may remember last year I featured Les Smith, who was the button boy at the HMS Ganges boys’ training establishment when the Queen visited in 1961.

Les has written a march appropriately called The Button Boy March and the Royal Marines have agreed to record it. Les tells me an arrangement of the march was played by the band, but it was not quite right and so it is being recorded again soon.

Any royalties will be going to the Help for Heroes charity. I will let you know when I hear more.
