Cambridge University student Brigid Ward is hoping readers will contact her to help with research for her PhD thesis.

It’s all about how Portsmouth is remembered and how it has changed.

Brigid said: ‘I am interested in how the people of Portsmouth have felt about these changes, and I want to focus on the time between the 1930s and the 1970s.

‘I am particularly interested to hear about any memorabilia readers might have kept – for example, newspaper clippings about the opening of the Tricorn or photographs of the old museum in High Street, Old Portsmouth.’

Readers interested in participating in her project can e-mail her at bcfw2@cam.ac.uk or by post to Brigid Ward, Murray Edwards College, Huntingdon Road, Cambridge, CB3 0DF.
