You can see Windsor Davies, the caring, sharing Battery Sergeant in It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, screaming at these lads: ‘Fine pairs of boots. Show ‘em off, show ‘em off.’

They are in fact men from the local TA REME regiment taking a breather while on exercise in the Isle of Wight some time in the mid-1950s. Vic Jones who supplied the photo is sitting far left. Can you put names to any others?
