Have your say

In these two shots of Waterlooville from Paul Costen’s collection we can see how the town has altered.

The old view is looking south down the A3 with a bus for Petersfield passing through and perhaps picking up from the bus stop on the right.

The same view today, but now a shopping precinct with trees instead of buses and street furniture.

Note the black and white markings on the kerbstones to the left, a remnant from the wartime blackout.

In the colour photo looking down through what is now the shopping precinct, the old A3 has been diverted and paved over.

The bay window to the left with the yellow sign in front of it is the same one to the left of the bus and next to the shop blinds.
