NOSTALGIA: A seed of learning planted 300 years ago that’s blossomed into Portsmouth Grammar School

Have your say

The Kings Theatre, Southsea, is having an open day on Monday (June 30) to promote the official opening of the David Whitfield box.

As many of you will remember, David, who was top of the hit parade in the 1950s with Cara Mia, was a great favourite in the city which he looked upon as his second home.

Entrance, at 10.30am, is free with a tour of this wonderful theatre.
