Looking north across the inner Camber at Old Portsmouth, this view from the mid-1930s shows the cranes that unloaded colliers and part of the large concrete coal bunkers on the right.

Thankfully, the current view across Town Quay (immediately below) to the Spinnaker Tower has not been spoilt by residential development which would have happened under plans proposed in the early 1980s.
