Have your say

This marvellous photograph of a Nelsonian/Napoleonic wooden wall was loaned to me by William Tofts of Copnor, Portsmouth.

I don’t believe it to be HMS Victory, but it could be.

All the upper masts and yards have been taken down and I wonder if she was being taken away for scrap?

The steam tugs alongside make me think that.

If you have the slightest idea which ship she is, please let me know.

Thanks.
