Have your say

A variety show put on at Portsmouth Guildhall on Sunday, December 5, 1970, saw performances by Des O’Connor and an all-star cast.

Peter Goodwright was an impressionist who was the first to impersonate Steptoe and Son from the TV comedy show.

The Mistins were a continental musical act who appeared, along with a backing band led by Johnny Wiltshire.

Many of you will have heard of Miki & Griff, they were a married English country duo.Their most famous record was A Little Bitty Tear Let Me Down.

After hearing that twice a night while on tour for weeks on end, it’s a wonder the rest of the cast didn’t end up shooting themselves!
