Have your say

Tomorrow week is Remembrance Sunday and no doubt many of you will be wearing poppies.

Can I just ask that you contribute a little extra this year? With all the conflicts going on around the world, contributions from the general public are needed more and more each year.

Although I dislike the word ‘buy’ when donating to the poppy fund, I do think that the metal pin poppies introduced some years ago are well worth ‘buying.’ The half-inch badge-like poppies look smart on a jacket lapel and, of course, do not curl.

If you would like a relative remembered on this page next Saturday, please send or e-mail a photo of the person with a short line about him/her by next Wednesday to me c/o The News, News Centre, Hilsea, Portsmouth PO2 9SX.
