Have your say

Linda Carragher was not born when this street party for the 1953 coronation was held in Eastfield Road, Southsea.

But she is able to identify some of the people and also has a copy of the picture in her family album.

She says her sister, Julia Carragher, is the girl wearing the party hat, fifth from the left in the front row.

Her brother, John Grech is first on the left of the second/third row and next to him is Valerie White.

Next but one to her is Derek Wilmer and the next boy is Paul Clear whose mother is behind him. Linda thinks his dad was a bus driver.

She goes on to say that the little girl wearing glasses in the front row, third from right, is Christine Gibbs and her mother is the tall woman at the back, second from the left.

The picture originally came from Jill Gowland whose parents Mac and Edna managed the Eastfield Hotel at the time.
