Formerly the People’s Palace, Jury’s Imperial Pictures, and the Palladium Cinema, the building pictured in Lake Road, Portsmouth, ended its days as Blundell’s wholesale clothier before demolition in 1980.

To its left was Sydney Charles’s grocery shop.

There was a terraced street on the right called Leonard Road, which was lost during redevelopment and the building of Holbrook Road.
