Have your say

It seems incredible, but this aerial view shows what is now Fratton Way when it had just finished being a railway goods yard just a few years back.

The rails have been lifted and the angled rooftops of the warehouses are awaiting demolition. They are now under the KFC and McDonald’s restaurants. Fratton Train Depot can be seen at the bottom of the frame with Goldsmith Avenue running left to right below it. Fratton Way now passes behind the Fratton End of Fratton Park and an Ibis hotel is now on the corner of the stand nearest to the camera. It is amazing just how much was demolished to make way for so much car parking!
