The Bear Hotel features in both these photographs of Havant.
The historic old coaching inn with its distinctive sign can be seen in the picture of West Street and, more prominently, in the one taken in East Street.
The latter appears to have been taken in the 1950s while the West Street shot looks as though it belongs to the 1930s.
It’s interesting to note the number of thriving businesses there were then in East Street.
