Havant historian Ralph Cousins has produced a five-booklet set called The Making of Havant.
Originally published in the 1970s by the Havant Local History Group, the A5 books have been updated with many colour photographs.
Each volume has at least 80 pages and they cover all aspects of the history of the Havant area from the 1850s.
I am glad to say an extra booklet covering Stockheath, an area almost forgotten these days since the Leigh Park estate was built, is also available, called A Brief History of Stockheath.
They are available from the Spring Centre, East Street, Havant, or from Ralph on (023) 9248 4024 and are £5 each.
