The game of darts has always been one of the more notable sports associated with public houses.

Here we have the 1950s ladies’ darts team based at The Ivy House, in Ivy Street, Southsea.

This street is no longer on our street maps, but in earlier times The Ivy House had competition from another beerhouse in the form of The Marquis of Lorne.
