Barry Haines dug deep into his family albums to show how he, his family and neighbours marked the Queen’s coronation in 1953 at Landport, Portsmouth.

The main photograph here shows Barry and fellow pupils at Church Street School performing a re-enactment of the coronation.

Barry is the blond lad on the right holding one of the striped pennants. He’s next to the girl with the Union Flag.

Other names he can recall from this picture are Derek Harris, Alby Dines, Keith Kimber, Alby Greenwood, Sylvia Madgwick and Roy Gerome
