Here’s another picture from John Apps’s collection.

This time we’re looking towards Market Way, Portsmouth, in the late 1950s.

It was taken from a balcony in Cornwallis House and looks past Foley House towards what is now the Market Way roundabout.

The central chimney in the distance belonged to the Brickwoods brewery and John wonders how many of you remember the smell?
