A book I wrote 12 years ago will soon be available again.
I have had so many requests for a reprint I have decided to go ahead with it.
With new production techniques it is a far simpler process than even 10 years ago.
‘The Naval Camps of Bedhampton, Havant and Leigh Park’ tells of three of the former naval camps – Stockheath, HMS Daedalus III and Belmont that were located in what is now part of the Leigh Park estate and Bedhampton.
After the war displaced persons from the Baltic States were housed on the Daedalus III site and in the early 1950s Portsmouth people looking for a home lived in the Nissen huts before being housed in the new houses of Leigh Park.
There are many photographs plus additional material gained since the original production.
It has 106 pages in A4 soft-cover format and will be available in about eight weeks. Please e-mail me to reserve a copy. £15.99 including p&p.
