Have your say

If you live in Stubbington Avenue, North End, today then you will know what a pain it can be not only driving down the avenue but also trying to park near your house after 6pm.

It can also be the very devil driving down the road with another car coming towards you.

I have seen so many stand-offs there when no one gives way.

Here we see the tree-lined road in the days when it was used only by horses and carts.

We can only thank the architect who perhaps thought: ‘I’ll have to make this road so many feet wide as there will be cars galore down here in 100 years.’

Imagine if he had only designed the road to be wide enough for a horse and cart to pass each other. Chaos.
