The world’s top magazine for postcard dealers and collectors is now being run by a Portsmouth couple.

Sally and Mark Wingham are the new owners of Picture Postcard Monthly, a 56-page publication sold at fairs around the country and with subscribers at home and abroad.

Former News journalist Mark is the publication’s editor and Sally looks after the advertisements, subscriptions and administration.

The magazine will be the guest publication on tonight’s edition of Have I Got News For You (BBC1 9pm).

This card from Mark’s collecton shows a tram full of French sailors for l’entente cordiale in 1905 when the French fleet visited Portsmouth – 100 years after Trafalgar.

The pub/hotel behind is the old Sussex Hotel in Guildhall Square – on the site of what is now the Central Library.
