Have your say

If you recognise yourself among these fresh-faced youngsters, you’re needed for a reunion.

They were all pupils at Hayling Secondary School which this year, but now as Hayling College, will be 50 years old.

Organisers Linda Pamplin and Angela Smith are hoping to get together as many pupils and staff as possible who attended the school between 1962 and 1967.

They are particularly trying to trace five teachers who taught there between those years: Mr Stevens (English) – his two sons Michael and David also attended the school; Mrs Burns (girls’ PE); Caroline Reid (nee Morris – domestic science); Mr Jenkins (music), and Mary Morris (domestic science, who left the school to join the House Party programme on Southern Television).

The reunion is on May 5 at the college in Church Road, Hayling Island, from 7.30pm with a buffet, live music and a bar. Tickets at £10 are on sale at the college.
