The quality might not be great but this is a rare shot of Old Portsmouth in the early years of the last century.

It shows boats at Point transporting livestock probably to the Isle of Wight, although they could have come the other way, of course.

On the left, a pair of cart or shire horses seem to be more interested in their nosebags than the small herd of cattle on the adjacent boat.
