Have your say

Sent in by Mrs Waterman of Hilsea, this photo shows the staff of Reginald Road Junior School in 1958/59.

From left to right back row are: Miss Gleddis (headmistress) Mrs Ball, Mr Williams, Mr Rutlidge.

To the front are Mrs Dyke (school sec) Miss Fay, Mr Leighton and Miss Kingsford.

Mrs Waterman says that Mr Rutlidge was a PoW in Japan during the war and was a very strict teacher.

The photo was taken in the grounds of Reginald Road Infants School which was opposite the junior school. There was an avenue of flowering cherry trees by the school gates, now all under modern buildings.

Do you recognise any of the teachers at all?
